The Way of Life Assembly of God
The Happy Church!
More to come soon!

Our "curriculum" is God-given.  What do we mean by that?  Historically we have not used a formal curriculum.  We have allowed God to teach us, then we seek God as to what He wants the children to learn throughout the year.  The material that comes from prayer usually lasts 6-8 weeks until the next ideas come from the Lord.  It is AMAZING how we ALWAYS seem to be in sync with what Pastor Steve is doing upstairs!  More times than mere coincidence, we have begun certain lessons downstairs, only to find out that the same topic was being discussed upstairs.  Glory to God!

Two examples of this are the series we did in 2004.  The Lord put upon my heart to teach the Parables of Jesus, and to teach the significance of the Wilderness Tabernacle.  What awesome lessons!  They were among the most memorable for me.  In the summer of 2003, we did the "10-C Challenge", teaching and memorization of the 10 Commandments.  Currently, we are learning the importance of the Lord's Prayer ("Our Father") and presenting it in "layers"- Worship, God's Rule, Physical/Spiritual Needs, Forgiveness, Victory over Sin, Worship.... and sealed with Amen!  We are learning that it's not as important to memorize this prayer, although we will, as it is to know what we are praying and why, and how to use this model to pray with faith.  For without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

Come join us - and bring the kids!

Teaching the Roots of the Faith -  Our Biblical, Hebraic Roots Activities Missions Are You Among the Called?
After snack time, the children separate into their appropriate age groups for class time.  The older children who reach age 12 are slowly integrated into the Ages 2-5 group as Junior Helpers.  Our goal is to teach them how to serve their younger brothers and sisters in Christ by helping the teacher, then participating in teaching the lesson itself.

Big Things Come In Small Packages!

For a relatively small ministry, we accomplish a lot with our children.  Ranging in age from 2 years to 14 years, Judy Weiner and I provide our Sunday School kids with a warm, loving and relaxed learning experience.  Our two main classroom groups, Ages 2-5 and Ages 6-11, spend the first 15 minutes of Sunday School together having snack time (we like to feed their tummies before feeding their spirit!).  They are an enthusiastic bunch:  Many of them can’t wait to be chosen to serve during snack time!

Welcome to the Way of Life Children’s Ministry!  We hope you will sense the love we have for our Sunday School children, as well as our deep desire to plant the “incorruptible seed” of God’s Word which lives and abides forever (I Peter 1:23), into their souls.
